Brief Introduction to Donghua University
Donghua University (the former China Textile University) was founded in 1951. It is directly affiliated with the Minister of Education of China and also one of the universities financially supported by the "211 Development Project". Donghua University is also among the universities first authorized the right to confer the Bachelor .Master and Doctoral degrees.

Donghua University is one of the universities that have earliest built up the four-year university education in management. The major of Industrial Management was established in 1959. It enrolled its Master’s candidate in1979, because the Department of Industrial Management and Engineering in1983 formed the Economics and Trade Management School in 1993. It received a donations of 11 million HK dollars from Hong Kong Glorious Sun Group and therefore was renamed the Glorious Sun School of Business and Management in 1994.

TheGlorious Sun School of Business and Management have a comprehensive discipline structure. It has 8discipline within its Bachelor’s degree, 8 disciplines within its Master’s degree, 2 specialties within its Associate Bachelor "s degree and 2 disciplines within its PhD degree. There are over 4000 students in the school now, which comprises over 3000 undergraduate students and over 1000 Master students including in excess of 400 MBA students. Recently the MBA program of the DHU ranked fifth in the second group of 28 universities under the joint assessment by the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council and the National Committee of MBA Education and Guidance. Carletons Business School was renamed the Spratt School of Business after alumnus Eric Spratt invested $10 million in his Alma master. The School provides business education at the Bachelor. Masters and Ph.D. level. The Spratt School of Business offers undergraduate programs leading to a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree and a bachelor of international Business Honors degree.
